I love my job! The girls and I had a blast during this session. We ran around town, ducking into alley ways and over grown yards. We ended our time in a huge field of yellow flowers. Okay, they were weeds…but pretty just the same. Luckily the mosquitoes didn’t show up in the photos. It took a week for me to recover from the 752 mosquito bites I got that evening. Thanks girls! You are truly beautiful!

Sally! Thank you for the update on your new work. The newsletter is phenomenal! I felt like I was reading a special spread in Southern Living! I love the idea of the mini photo sessions in the park! That is an incredible idea! I miss you so much Sally! So glad I can see your progress, innovation and creativity on line. Keep up the good work Sally! Love to all the Roeckells! xx Annemarie
Baby J has finally made it into the world. He has no idea yet what an amazing family he has been blessed with. It was my privilege to capture some of his first images at 8 days old. I’m already looking forward to his three month photos.
This shoot was with the CPPA group under the direction of Pierre Stephenson. We were working on low light photography. The shoot took place at Cafe La Cave in Des Plaines. The bar is a man made cave complete with stalactites. These were shot at 3200ISO with two video lights. My children and family photography doesn’t often call for low light situations but I love learning and hope you humor me as I attempt to learn new techniques.
super cool! don’t you love learning new stuff? keep up the good work!
These beautiful girls volunteered to model for the shooting portion of a class offered by CPPA on using off camera flash. After a few shots the weather foiled our plans to use the lush outdoor surroundings as our back drop. We moved our shoot into a nearby parking garage and ended up with amazing results. I have a new appreciation for parking garages. Thanks girls for being flexible and allowing us to have so much fun. Hope you have fun with the images.
Amazing! You made lemonade out of lemons! Very impressive!
